This video recalls a conversation between Patt, who lives in Amsterdam, and her Grandma, who lives in Bangkok. Patt’s Grandma - at the age of 78 - cooks daily. They revisit Grandma’s dishes from her native Isaan (Northeastern Thailand) which formed a crucial part of Patt’s childhood.

Food is a bridge between generations, a conduit of their personal memories, tracing through time and place, while bearing the family’s migratory history from Udonthani to Korat, and finally to Bangkok, in search of better opportunities.
